Simple present tense
The simple present tense is used to explain daily activity or the activity that is often done. It can also be used to explain about general truth.
a. Nominal sentence
(+) subject + to be + adjective/noun/adverb
(-) subject + to be + not + adjective/noun/adverb
(?) to be + subject + adjective/noun/adverb+?
Note:
- to be is (is used for the subject : he/she/it/singular
- to be am (is used for the subject: I )
- to be are (is used for the subject: you/we/they/plurals)
♥ examples:
(+) we are hungry.
(-) we are not hungry
(?) are we hungry?
(+) the girls is a student
(-) the girls is not a student
(?) is the girls a student?
B. Verbal sentence
(+) subject + V1/Vs/es + object
(-) subject + do/does + not + V1+ object
(?) do/does + subject + V1 + object + ?
Note:
* do is used for subject I,you,we,they
* does is used for subject he,she,it
♥ examples:
1.(+) the sun rises in the east
(-) the sun does not rise in the east?
(?) does the sun rise in the east?
Conditional sentence type 1
Conditional sentence type 1 shows the real condition in future.
Pattern:
If + S + V1 (s/es), S + will + V1
If + present Tense, future present
♥ example:
If he comes tomorrow, I will come.
If he doesn't come, I will not come.
Those sentences above are likely to happen in the future.
The real fact is :
Perhaps he comes tomorrow, so I will come
Perhaps he doesn't come, so I will not come
